Summer crew tackles Broad Creek's depths with spinning rods!
Mary and their crew joined us for a summer afternoon session on Broad Creek. We launched in the early afternoon under partly cloudy skies, though we knew rain was forecast for later. The water conditions on Broad Creek were solid for our half day trip with Screaming Eagle Charters.
We focused our efforts on bottom fishing, mixing in some spinning and bait fishing techniques throughout the session. Broad Creek offers excellent structure and depth changes that make these approaches productive, especially during summer months when fish hold in deeper water during the heat of the day. We didn't stick a trophy on this run, but every cast and minute on the water was worth it. The crew stayed engaged right up until that late afternoon rain started rolling in.
